In-Person events with glossy brochures weren’t happening due to COVID-19.  We helped devise a mailing strategy for the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.

In a typical year, the USC Viterbi School of Engineering works closely with us to print their brochures, mailers, and booklets to be used as part of their student recruitment strategy.  Many of our projects were either complete or in-progress when “stay-at-home” orders were launched by the state of California and county of Los Angeles.  In mid-march, the admission staff at USC went to immediate work-from-home environments and canceled all upcoming travel and in-person events.

The USC Viterbi School contacted us and worked with us on a new strategy:  mail.  It may not be fancy, but the USPS wasn’t shutting down, and neither were we.  We immediately made our way to the USC campus to pick up all completed collateral we had delivered in the previous few weeks.  We worked with them as they redesigned and re-envisioned some current projects all in the name of delivering their message to their constituency.

In the end, we printed new letters on custom letterhead with digital, real-as-life signatures.  We sourced new envelopes to hold collections of materials that were hand-fulfilled to match profiles of students provided by USC (certain brochures went into certain mailers based on course of study and other demographics).

We were happy to pivot our resources to manage a complex mailing campaign for their customers while also helping to create additional print collateral to execute on their directive: keep communications flowing.

All of our in-person events were canceled due to COVID-19. Classic Litho turned on a dime to help us manage our current brochure inventory, print new pieces and supplements, and execute a wholly new contact program using complex fulfillment requirements for thousands of brochures to our admitted students.
